A Kohala Moment

Hello friends and family!

Today I chose to share a piece I created based upon a special moment we experienced in January of this year while on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is especially meaningful for us at this time of our lives as we have been facing the harsh realities of life, knowing that at any moment we can so easily loose those that we love. So go ahead, give that hug, make that phone call, and enjoy those incredible moments we are so privileged to experience in this beautiful life.

Here is the story for the painting titled: A Kohala Moment-

On the rocky cliffs of North Kohala at near Upolu Point we journeyed toward the ocean. The waves were powerful and fierce and the most brilliant colors. Off in the distance we spotted a rainbow. Beautiful and enamoring set in a stormy dark sky. The rainbow crept closer and closer.

Suddenly we felt a shiver as the rain fell down upon our skin. Just like that the rainbow was gone-passing right through us! The whole group knew that this was an event, special and meaningful, never to be forgotten. It gave us peace, it let us just be in that moment, and ever thankful of each other and the magical experience we were able to share.
