Awakening the Five Senses

Hello!

Hope you are having a great day!

I have had the most beautiful mornings recently. I have been re-establishing my morning routine involving my favorite place.

Do you have a special place you like to go, a place that can make you happy in an instant?

That place for me is my spray booth. I walk in that door and all my senses are immediately activated.

SMELL

No words can describe the mixed smells of paint, primer, clear coat, my favorite berry candle, and the heater. I know, I might be crazy, but that first scent brings a smile to my face every single time. It is comfort.

HEARING

The outlet for my compressor is hooked up with my light. As I open the door, I turn on the light and immediately I am greeted by my little Silent Air compressor kicking on. That sound makes me feel at home.

SIGHT

Thanks to my Greg and Boys, I have a window to look out to our valley-an ever changing palette of colors and textures. I can wake with the sun in my new morning routine and be inspired by the nature that surrounds me.

TASTE

Yes, like so many, upon waking up- I have to have my coffee. I start the coffee pot and head straight to the spray booth. It is there that I take my first sip of coffee.....

Ahhh, heaven!

TOUCH

Finally I get to work, and get to touch all my favorite tools. I have everything I need at my fingertips to create whatever my heart desires.

It is amazing to me the way our senses awaken and we feel so alive.

It is truly a gift to cherish.

If we pay attention to those little things that bring us joy we can deal with all the challenges life throws at us.

We can remember the things that trigger those happy feelings.

We can seek out that special place.

I can't wait to hear your favorite place to retreat to. Your favorite place that awakens yours senses. Why does it do that for you? I would love to hear your story!
